    • How Often Should I Change My Air Filters?

The life of your air filter depends on several factors, including the number of people and pets in your household, the health of your household members, the number of indoor and outdoor pets, and the types of contaminants in your area. The general rule of thumb is to change your filter every 3 months. However, you can test the airflow through your unit to determine if the filter is clogged and needs to be replaced.

You can test the airflow by plugging in your unit, opening all the registers, and setting the thermostat to a comfortable temperature. If the unit does not reach this temperature within 15 minutes, the filter needs to be replaced. If you are unsure how to change your filter, contact Henry's A/C & Heat LLC.

    • How Do I Know If I Need A New Air Conditioner?

It can be difficult to tell if your AC is in need of repair. If you have been noticing an increase in your utility bills, but it does not seem to correlate to the time your air conditioner has been running, then it could be a sign that your unit is failing. Another indication that your AC needs to be repaired is if you notice that the air coming out of your vents is warm.

If you notice any of the following signs, contact Henry's A/C & Heat LLC immediately:

      • Your AC is making strange noises - If your unit is making loud banging, squealing, or groaning noises, it is likely that something has broken or is about to break. It is important to have your air conditioner inspected as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
      • Your AC is leaking water - It is normal for your AC to expel some water while it is running, but if you notice that there is standing water around your unit or that it is leaking water inside, this could be a sign that your air conditioner needs to be repaired.
      • Your utility bills have increased - If your air conditioner has been running for an extended amount of time, your utility bills will be higher than usual. This could be a sign that your AC needs to be repaired.

If you notice any of the following signs, call Henry's A/C & Heat LLC immediately:

      • Your AC is blowing warm air - If your AC is blowing warm air, it could mean that there is a problem with your refrigerant levels. It is important to have your air conditioner inspected as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
      • Your AC needs to be repaired - If your air conditioner is leaking water, making strange noises, or blowing warm air, it is likely that your unit needs to be repaired.
    • What Is The Difference Between An AC And A Heat Pump?

An air conditioner (AC) cools your house by removing warm air and replacing it with cooler air. A heat pump, also known as an air-source heat pump (ASHP), is an air conditioner that also has the ability to heat your house. A heat pump works by removing warm air from your house and replacing it with cooler air, but it also has the ability to remove heat from the outdoors and release it outdoors. This allows the heat pump to cool your house in the summer and heat it in the winter.
